Job summary

Welty Energy, an affiliate of Welty Building Company, LLC., is expanding its Engineering team and seeks a Distribution Engineering Manager to lead a high-growth electric utility distribution engineering group. This role combines technical leadership with client advocacy in a hybrid/remote Midwest-focused setting, based from OH, PA, IN or surrounding states.

You will scale the team, manage resources and finances, ensure engineering quality, and mentor staff while maintaining strict compliance

Qualifications

• 10+ years in utility distribution design or electric utility construction.
• 5+ years of direct management experience.
• Strong leadership and conflict resolution abilities.
• Excellent written and verbal communication with stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Scale an engineering team to meet client needs.
• Maintain client advocacy and relationships.
• Oversee operations, resources and finances.
• Provide technical oversight on standards and tools (DDS, CREWS).
• Lead hiring, onboarding and culture initiatives.
• Ensure compliance with internal workflows and deadlines.
