Job summary

KDM Engineering in Chesterbrook, PA is seeking an experienced Distribution Engineer II to join our growing team. In this role you’ll lead distribution engineering projects, provide technical guidance to project teams, and deliver safe, reliable, and constructible solutions for our utility clients.

This position blends hands-on design work with project leadership. You’ll mentor engineers, collaborate with clients, and contribute to expanding our distribution capabilities across Pennsylvania while

Qualifications

• BS Electrical Engineering degree.
• 4+ years of prior industry experience.
• Proficient in AutoCAD, TED, and Microsoft Office.
• Knowledge of PPL Electric Utilities standards and distribution design practices is preferred.
• Ability to interpret and analyze customer's electrical, architectural, and structural drawings, one-line diagram and load letters.

Responsibilities

• Design development, equipment layouts, construction drawings and bill of materials.
• Proficiency of power engineering theories and principles.
• Proficiency of researching engineering and design issues, evaluating alternatives, making sound recommendations and preparing recommendations.
• Understanding of power distribution systems.
• Ability to work across multiple teams/platforms.
• Demonstrated project management skills.
• Quantitative and analytical skill set.
• Excellent communication skills, verbal and written.
• Ability to multitask and adapt to changing demands.
• Knowledge of commonly‑used concepts, practices, and procedures in Engineering.
