Job summary

KDM Engineering in Chesterbrook, PA is seeking an experienced Distribution Engineer II to join our growing team. In this role you’ll lead distribution engineering projects, provide technical guidance to project teams, and deliver safe, reliable, and constructible solutions for our utility clients.

Qualifications

• BS Electrical Engineering degree.
• 4+ years of prior industry experience.
• Proficient in AutoCAD, TED, and Microsoft Office.
• Knowledge of PPL Electric Utilities standards and distribution design practices is preferred.
• Ability to interpret and analyze customer's electrical, architectural, and structural drawings, one-line diagram and load letters.

Chesterbrook, PA| Hybrid | Full-time KDM Engineering is seeking an experienced Distribution Engineer II to join our growing team in Pennsylvania. In this role, you’ll lead distribution engineering projects, provide technical guidance to project teams, and help deliver safe, reliable, and constructible solutions for our utility clients.

This is a great opportunity for an experienced distribution engineering professional who enjoys both hands‑on technical work and project leadership. You’ll collaborate directly with clients, mentor developing engineers, contribute to complex utility projects, and play an important role in expanding KDM’s growing distribution capabilities in Pennsylvania.

What You’ll Do

• Design development, equipment layouts, construction drawings and bill of materials
• Proficiency of power engineering theories and principles.
• Proficiency of practices of researching engineering and design issues, evaluating alternatives, making sound recommendations and preparing recommendations.

What We’re Looking For

• BS Electrical Engineering degree.
• 4+ years of prior industry experience.
• Proficient in the use of all software needed to produce quality electrical design drawings such as AutoCAD, TED, Microsoft Office programs.
• Knowledge of PPL Electric Utilities standards and distribution design practices is preferred.
• Ability to work with a variety of individuals from various socio‑economic, cultural and ethnic backgrounds.
• Must be able to interpret and analyze customer's electrical, architectural, and structural drawings, one‑line diagram and load letters.

Salary Range: $75,000 - $105,000.00 per year
