KDM Engineering LLC is seeking a Distribution Engineer II in Chesterbrook, PA. This hybrid, full-time role focuses on leading distribution engineering projects, mentoring engineers, and delivering safe, reliable electrical designs for utility clients.

The candidate will design layouts, perform power engineering analyses, and coordinate with cross-functional teams to ensure constructible solutions and client satisfaction. 4+ years of experience and a PE or similar is advantageous.

Qualifikationen

  • BS Electrical Engineering degree.
  • 4+ years of industry experience.
  • Proficiency with AutoCAD, TED and Microsoft Office.
  • Knowledge of PPL Electric Utilities standards and distribution design practices is preferred.
  • Ability to interpret and analyze customer's electrical, architectural, and structural drawings, one-line diagram and load letters.

Distribution Engineer II - Electric Utilities
Chesterbrook, PA | Hybrid | Full-time

KDM Engineering is seeking an experienced Distribution Engineer II to join our growing team in Pennsylvania. In this role, you'll lead distribution engineering projects, provide technical guidance to project teams, and help deliver safe, reliable, and constructible solutions for our utility clients.

This is a great opportunity for an experienced distribution engineering professional who enjoys both hands-on technical work and project leadership. You'll collaborate directly with clients, mentor developing engineers, contribute to complex utility projects, and play an important role in expanding KDM's growing distribution capabilities in Pennsylvania.

What You'll Do
  • Design development, equipment layouts, construction drawings and bill of materials
  • Proficiency of power engineering theories and principles.
  • Proficiency of practices of researching engineering and design issues, evaluating alternatives, making sound recommendations and preparing recommendations.
  • Understanding of power distribution systems.
  • Ability to understand complex initiatives across multiple teams/platforms.
  • Demonstrated project management skills.
  • Quantitative and analytical skill set.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Ability to multitask and adapt to changing demands.
  • Has knowledge of commonly-used concepts, practices, and procedures within the Engineering field.
What We're Looking For
  • BS Electrical Engineering degree.
  • 4+ years of prior industry experience.
  • Proficient in the use of all software needed to produce quality electrical design drawings such as AutoCAD, TED, Microsoft Office programs.
  • Knowledge of PPL Electric Utilities standards and distribution design practices is preferred.
  • Ability to work with a variety of individuals from various socio-economic, cultural and ethnic backgrounds.
  • Must be able to interpret and analyze customer's electrical, architectural, and structural drawings, one-line diagram and load letters.
Salary Range

$75,000 - $105,000.00 per year
