Job summary

KDM Engineering LLC is seeking a Distribution Engineer II in Chesterbrook, PA. This hybrid, full-time role focuses on leading distribution engineering projects, mentoring engineers, and delivering safe, reliable electrical designs for utility clients.

The candidate will design layouts, perform power engineering analyses, and coordinate with cross-functional teams to ensure constructible solutions and client satisfaction. 4+ years of experience and a PE or similar is advantageous.

Qualifications

• BS Electrical Engineering degree.
• 4+ years of industry experience.
• Proficiency with AutoCAD, TED and Microsoft Office.
• Knowledge of PPL Electric Utilities standards and distribution design practices is preferred.
• Ability to interpret and analyze customer's electrical, architectural, and structural drawings, one-line diagram and load letters.

Responsibilities

• Design development, equipment layouts, construction drawings and bill of materials.
• Proficiency of power engineering theories and principles.
• Research engineering and design issues, evaluate alternatives, make sound recommendations.
• Understand power distribution systems.
• Coordinate across multiple teams/platforms and manage projects.
• Demonstrate quantitative and analytical skills; communicate clearly.
