KDM Engineering in Chesterbrook, PA is seeking an experienced Distribution Designer to lead overhead and underground distribution projects for electric utilities. You will design, prepare drawings and BOMs, verify field conditions, and mentor junior engineers in a hybrid, full-time role.

The ideal candidate has a BS in Electrical Engineering, 4+ years of experience, and proficiency in AutoCAD, MicroStation, and GIS.

Qualificações

• BS Electrical Engineering degree.
• 4+ years of prior industry experience.
• Proficient in AutoCAD, TED, and Microsoft Office.
• Knowledge of PPL Electric Utilities standards preferred.
• Ability to work with diverse backgrounds.

Responsabilidades

• Independently design overhead and underground utility distribution systems following standards.
• Prepare construction drawings, cost estimates, BOMs, and specifications.
• Conduct field visits to gather data and verify site conditions.
• Coordinate with clients, project engineers, and permitting authorities.
• Apply utility standards (e.g., NESC) to ensure code compliance.
• Track project progress using client and internal systems.
• Prepare reports and maintain project documentation.
• Proficiency in design software such as MicroStation, AutoCAD, and GIS.
• Knowledge of pole loading and sag analysis tools (PoleForeman, O-Calc, SpidaCalc).
