Job summary

KDM Engineering in Chesterbrook, PA, is seeking an experienced Distribution Engineer II to lead distribution engineering projects, mentor engineers, and provide technical guidance for utility clients. The role blends hands-on design work with project leadership in a hybrid, full-time setting.

You’ll work with AutoCAD, TED, and MS Office to produce quality electrical designs, understand customer drawings and load letters, and collaborate across teams.

Qualifications

• BS Electrical Engineering degree.
• 4+ years of industry experience.
• Proficient in AutoCAD, TED, and Microsoft Office programs.
• Knowledge of PPL Electric Utilities standards and distribution design practices is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Design development, equipment layouts, construction drawings and bill of materials.
• Proficiency in power engineering theories and principles.
• Research engineering and design issues and prepare recommendations.
• Understand power distribution systems and work across multiple teams.
• Demonstrate project management and quantitative/analytical skills.
• Communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing.
