Job summary

Ameren Missouri is seeking a Distribution Design professional to manage customer-driven construction projects from start to finish. You will design distribution work, process service applications, and secure necessary approvals and easements for installations.

Ideal candidates bring a bachelor’s degree with relevant experience (or an associate’s degree with more years) and strong communication and decision-making skills. Occasional travel and storm-restoration support are expected in this role.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree with 1 year of relevant experience required; or Associate’s Degree with 3 years of relevant experience; five years could be considered in lieu of a degree.
• Strong decision-making, communication, and human relations skills are expected.
• Knowledge of electric standards, procedures and distribution systems is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary point of contact for customer-driven work from inception through completion of construction.
• Work independently on design projects of varying complexity.
• Process and monitor customer applications for service and provide information on rates, programs, and service requirements.
• Obtain required approvals, easements, and rights-of-way for contracts and permits.
• Coordinate with customers, electricians, and homeowners to ensure compliant electrical installations.
• Conduct field inspections and prepare material and labor estimates and drawings for proposed construction and maintenance.
• Design jobs per company standards or approved deviations.
• Collaborate with marketing to identify opportunities for program implementation.
• Support storm assessment and restoration efforts.
• Occasionally perform overnight travels and handle special requests.
