Job summary

Ameren Illinois is seeking a Distribution Design Associate to manage customer and system improvement projects and provide engineering support for electric distribution lines and gas mains. The role covers field and office work with possible emergency call-outs.

Qualifications include an engineering technology-related degree (associates required, bachelor preferred) and 3+ years in the utility industry; a higher level may allow substitutions.

Qualifications

• Associates degree required; Bachelor's degree preferred.
• Three years relevant utility industry experience may be considered without degree.
• Five years experience may substitute for degree.

Responsibilities

• Represent the Company as a single point of contact with customers, builders, developers regarding service requests.
• Provide engineering services on customer requests and projects (reliability, planning, replacement).
• Manage customer and system improvement projects to meet due dates.
• Gather load information, service size, voltage and other data for proper sizing.

Associate degree in Engineering Technology, Construction Management, Project Management or related technical field

Bachelor's degree in Engineering Technology, Construction Management, Project Management or related technical field (preferred)
