Job summary

Ameren Illinois is seeking a Distribution Design Associate to manage customer and system improvement projects with a focus on engineering support for electric distribution lines and gas mains. You will act as the primary contact for customers, builders, and developers, coordinating with the Design Center and Operations to ensure on-time service delivery.

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering Technology, Construction Management, Project Management or related technical field preferred.

Responsibilities

• Represent the Company as a single point of contact with customers, builders, and developers regarding service requests.
• Provide engineering services on customer requests and projects generated internally (reliability, planning, replacement).
• Manage customer and system improvement projects to meet required due dates.
• Coordinate with Operations to schedule projects to meet in-service requirements.
• Prepare engineering field notes and send them to the Design Center to ensure all requirements are met.
• Obtain customer approvals, easements, and rights-of-way to prepare and execute service contracts, permits, releases, plats, and records.
