Job summary

Entergy Arkansas, LLC is seeking a Distribution Designer I in Hot Springs to design and manage distribution projects, meeting with customers to determine service needs and creating overhead and underground line extensions. The role supports reliability projects and infrastructure improvements with collaboration across internal and external stakeholders.

Responsibilities include cost estimation, construction drawings, design verification, and storm response assistance.

Qualifications

Strong interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills.
Familiar with personal computers and related software.
Basic theory of electricity and how to interpret construction drawings.
Ability to manage multiple activities and changing priorities.
Safety-minded with knowledge of Entergy safety policies and procedures.

Responsibilities

Meet with customers to determine service needs and design overhead/underground extensions.
Estimate costs and prepare construction drawings for projects.
Coordinate pre-design and pre-construction meetings with stakeholders.
Perform engineering calculations (load studies, fault current, voltage drop).
Lead compliance and provide technical support to operations and contractors.
