Job summary

Beacon Hill Staffing Group, LLC is hiring multiple Distribution Design Engineers. The role targets junior engineers with a BS in Mechanical, Electrical, Civil, or Industrial engineering and interest in OH/UG/URD projects.

You will develop work packages, perform calculations, and coordinate with design teams for complex cable/conduit projects in dense urban areas. Responsibilities include site inspections, permitting, and contributing to design standards while gaining exposure to field

Qualifications

• Completed Bachelor of Science in an Engineering discipline (Electrical, Mechanical, Civil, or Industrial preferred) from an ABET accredited institution
• Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.)
• Ability to utilize a personal vehicle due to travel expectations
• Willingness to perform both field and office work; outdoor work possible
• Strong written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills

Responsibilities

• Develop design and construction work packages for electrical distribution systems from 4kV through 138kV for programmatic work
• Provide engineering support during construction and post-construction reviews
• Perform engineering calculations (structural, line sag/tension, voltage drop, flicker) and permitting documents
• Travel to sites for inspections and return to office for design work
• Coordinate with others on design standards, permits, and ROW applications
