Beacon Hill is hiring multiple Distribution Design Engineers. We are seeking junior candidates with a Bachelor's in Mechanical or Electrical engineering, prepared to start their engineering careers.

The role involves developing work packages for OH/UG distribution projects and using GIS/WMS tools, with training provided by a technical lead. Responsibilities include site inspections, design calculations, permitting, and coordination with utilities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Mechanical, Civil, or Industrial engineering from ABET-accredited program.
• Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
• Willingness to perform field and office work; some travel.
• Ability to work in both field and office settings while adhering to safety requirements.
• Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.

Responsabilités

• Develop design and construction work packages for overhead and underground distribution systems from 4kV to 138kV.
• Comply with safety requirements and design/quality expectations.
• Travel to sites for inspections and then perform engineering design back in the office.
• Perform engineering calculations (structural analysis, conductor sag/tension, voltage drop).
• Develop permitting documents for AHJ's and interact with authorities.
• Provide engineering support during construction and post-construction reviews.
• Conduct root cause analysis of outages and recommend mitigations.
