Job summary

Bren-Tronics Defense LLC, part of EnerSys, is seeking a Distribution Center Picker/Packer in the Commack, NY area to support shipping operations. The role involves picking, packing, labeling, stacking, and moving goods using a forklift, with emphasis on accuracy and efficiency.

As a member of EnerSys Advanced Systems, you will maintain shipping material inventory, ensure proper documentation, and collaborate with team members to meet daily objectives in a high-tech environment.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma required.
• 2+ years experience as Distribution Center Picker/Packer.
• Shipping experience preferred.
• Excellent interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.

Responsibilities

• Pack finished goods into unit packages.
• Pick and pack unit packages into master containers.
• Print and verify label contents before applying to containers.
• Stack master containers onto pallets, banding and shrink wrapping.
• Operate forklift and/or pallet jacks to move packed materials.
• Maintain and organize inventory of shipping materials and supplies, and report shortages.
• Input shipping information into Visual system or other carrier systems.
• Verify all documentation accurately according to shipment requirements.
• Report any damaged/missing products or shipping materials to the supervisor.

Compensation Range: $17.00-$18.00 per hour

As a Distribution Center Picker/Packer at Bren-Tronics, part of EnerSys and a manufacture of advanced portable power solutions prepare shipments according to company quality and industrial standards. Maintain and organize shipping area on daily basis.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Assist to pack finished goods into unit package.
• Responsible for picking and packing unit packages into master containers.
• Print and verify label contents accuracy before applying to any container.
• Stack master containers onto pallets, banding and shrink wrapping to finalize pallets.
• Operate forklift and/or pallet jacks to move packed materials.
• Maintain and organize inventory of shipping materials and supplies, and report shortages to the supervisor.
• Input shipping information into Visual system or other carrier information systems, as required.
• Verify all documentation accurately according to specific shipment requirement.
• Report any damaged/missing products or shipping materials to the supervisor.
