Job summary

EnerSys is seeking a Distribution Center Picker/Packer in Commack, NY. This full-time role focuses on accurate packing, orderly shipping areas, and timely preparation of shipments in a high-tech environment.

Qualified candidates will have a High School Diploma and at least 2 years of DC packing experience, with strong attention to detail and the ability to work both independently and in a team. Benefits include comprehensive coverage and 401(k) matching.

Responsibilities

• Assist to pack finished goods into unit package.
• Responsible for picking and packing unit packages into master containers.
• Print and verify label contents accuracy before applying to any container.
• Stack master containers onto pallets, banding and shrink wrapping to finalize pallets.
• Operate forklift and/or pallet jacks to move packed materials.
• Maintain and organize inventory of shipping materials and supplies, and report shortages to the supervisor.
• Input shipping information into Visual system or other carrier information systems, as required.
• Verify all documentation accurately according to specific shipment requirement.
• Report any damaged/missing products or shipping materials to the supervisor.

Compensation Range: $17.00-$18.00 per hour

Job Purpose

As a Distribution Center Picker/Packer at Bren-Tronics, part of EnerSys and a manufacture of advanced portable power solutions prepare shipments according to company quality and industrial standards. Maintain and organize shipping area on daily basis.
