Job summary

Fruit of the Loom, Inc. is seeking an experienced maintenance technician for our Distribution Center in Bowling Green, KY.

The role focuses on fork trucks and power industrial equipment, with repairs across conveyors and facility systems on a single shift in a four‑day work week. Ideal candidates have 12–18 months of maintenance experience, basic electrical knowledge, and the ability to read repair manuals.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent; technical training or certification is a plus.
• Basic knowledge of electronic equipment and testing devices.
• Knowledge of OSHA and EPA regulations for maintenance work.
• Good hand-eye coordination and ability to read repair manuals.
• May work any time during a 24-hour day for emergencies or planned downtime.
• Provide own tools if required.

Responsibilities

• Perform all activities in the safest manner possible and follow safety protocols.
• Observe, dismantle, repair and/or replace defective parts.
• Adjust functional parts of devices and control instruments with measurement tools.
• Troubleshoot failures by examining parts for imperfections.
• Set up and operate metalworking tools to make or repair parts.
• May initiate purchase orders for parts and machines.
• Perform welding tasks as necessary.

We are looking for an experienced maintenance- trained person who has an aptitude for working on fork trucks and other power industrial equipment (PIT). The ideal candidate will be able to perform repairs on conveyor systems, facility equipment, and execute maintenance on equipment throughout the facility. You may have specialized skills in one or more areas, or a specific equipment that would translate to our maintenance needs. Specific Responsibilities

• Perform all activies in the safest manner possible. Working safely is an essential behavior.
• Observe, dismantle, repair and/or remove defective parts to install replacement parts.
• Adjust functional parts of devices and control instruments. May require the use of hand tools, levels, and straight edges, use of rulers, calipers, micrometers or other measuring instruments.
• Troubleshoot failures by examining parts to detect imperfections.
• May set up and operate lathe, drill press, grinder or other metalworking tools to make and repair parts.
• May initiate purchase order for parts and machines.
• Perform welding tasks as necessary.
• Know and comply with all OSHA and EPA regulations.

Minimum Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent. Post-secondary training or certification from a technical school or other higher education is a plus.
• Basic knowledge of electronic equipment and testing devices.
• Basic knowledge of environmental regulations.
• Good hand-eye coordination
• Ability to read and interpret written instructions and repair manuals
• Ability to follow complex instructions and use precision instruments.
• May be asked to occasionally work anytime during a 24 hour day for emergency or planned downtime.
• Provide own tools if required.

Minimum Job Experience Required

Minimum of 12-18 months of maintenance technician experience. Prior experience in automotive repair is a plus. Related work experience will be accepted in lieu of education requirement.
