Job summary

Gilder Search Group is seeking an experienced Maintenance Technician to support the safe and reliable operation of equipment within a fast-paced distribution and warehouse environment in Dallas, TX.

This role maintains and repairs rolling stock, machinery, material-handling equipment, conveyors, and related warehouse systems, with a strong focus on safety.

The position is safety-sensitive, full-time, and pays $30/hr; pre-employment screening is required.

Qualifications

• Warehouse/distribution maintenance experience required.
• Experience troubleshooting and repairing mechanical equipment.
• Forklift maintenance experience strongly preferred.
• Experience working with conveyor systems or similar automated equipment preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assessing equipment issues, identifying corrective action, and completing repairs.

Maintenance Technician – Distribution/Warehouse Facility

Pay: $30/hr

Location: Dallas, TX

Position Purpose

We are seeking an experienced Maintenance Technician to support the safe and reliable operation of equipment within a fast-paced distribution and warehouse environment.

This position is responsible for the maintenance and repair of rolling stock, machinery, material-handling equipment, and other facility equipment. The Maintenance Technician will also assist with the day-to-day maintenance and general upkeep of the interior and exterior of the facility.

This is a safety-sensitive position and requires the ability to successfully complete required pre-employment screening, including drug testing.

Essential Job Functions

The Maintenance Technician will be responsible for:

• Assessing equipment issues, identifying appropriate corrective action, and completing necessary repairs.
• Troubleshooting, maintaining, and repairing forklifts and other material-handling equipment.
• Maintaining and repairing pick carousels, conveyor systems, and related warehouse equipment.
• Performing preventative maintenance to support equipment reliability and minimize downtime.
• Assisting with general facility maintenance and upkeep.
• Communicating professionally and effectively with management, employees, vendors, and other business contacts.
• Maintaining a strong focus on workplace safety and following established safety procedures.
• Lifting and moving materials weighing up to 50 pounds.
• Providing functional guidance or work direction to junior maintenance technicians when requested by management.
• Performing additional maintenance-related responsibilities as assigned.

Qualifications

• Previous maintenance experience in a warehouse, distribution, manufacturing, industrial, or similar environment.
• Experience troubleshooting and repairing mechanical equipment.
• Forklift and material-handling equipment maintenance experience strongly preferred.
• Experience working with conveyor systems or similar automated equipment preferred.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
• Ability to work independently and determine appropriate corrective actions.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to safely perform the physical requirements of the position.

Work Environment

This position is primarily performed inside a warehouse/distribution environment and requires extensive walking, bending, stooping, climbing, and other physical activity.

Employees may regularly be exposed to varying temperatures, dirt, dust, fumes, noise, machinery, and other conditions typical of an active warehouse environment. Some responsibilities may occasionally require outdoor work.

Proper safety procedures and required personal protective equipment must be followed at all times.
