Foot Locker, Inc. is seeking an Area Manager to lead the weekday operations at the Junction City, KS distribution center. This role focuses on safety, efficiency, and team performance while driving continuous improvement in a fast-paced environment.

Join our team as an Area Manager and lead operations for the weekday tilt trays team. This is a leadership role for someone who thrives on problem-solving and delivering results in a fast-paced environment. You’ll oversee safety, efficiency, and team performance while driving continuous improvement at our Junction City, KS distribution center.
Schedule: Monday-Thursday 7am-5:30pm
Direct and coach your team to achieve daily operational goals
Ensure compliance with EHS, quality, and safety standards
Spearhead process improvement initiatives using Lean/Six Sigma tools
Manage labor plans and make real-time decisions to optimize service and cost
Lead daily shift meetings and contribute to production planning
Troubleshoot WMS issues and support system improvements
Participate in audits and resolve findings effectively
Identify cost-saving opportunities and support financial planning
Foster a culture of accountability, engagement, and teamwork
Support hiring and talent development within your department
Associates Degree or higher in Logistics, Operations Management, Business, Engineering, or related field, or equivalent years of work related experience preferred
2+ years of leadership experience in a distribution center environment preferred
Exposure to Lean Manufacturing and/or Six Sigma preferred
Demonstrated knowledge of automated DC Systems and current RF technology preferred
Comprehensive experience working with Microsoft Office, including Word and Excel
Strong reasoning, analytical, and organizational skills
Teamwork and interpersonal skills, including the ability to communicate with different levels within the organization
Ability to read, write, operate computer, conduct business-related mathematics, and analyze data as required

The annual base salary range is $70,000 - $90,000 / yr. This range represents the anticipated low and high end of the salary for this position. Salary will be determined by the education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant, internal equity, and alignment with market data.
