GAI Consultants, Inc. invites qualified candidates for an Assistant CAD Operator 1 in the East Stroudsburg, PA area.

This role supports distribution engineering and field personnel with CAD design, drafting, and field surveys, under a hybrid telework policy and reporting to the Collegeville, PA office three days a week. The ideal candidate will have CAD experience, strong communication, and the ability to work with customers and teams to design and upgrade distribution facilities, including

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree in drafting or a related field.
• Basic AutoCAD knowledge.
• 1+ year experience in distribution utility work.
• Strong communication and professional interaction with diverse audiences.
• Proficient with MS Office.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical support to distribution engineering and field personnel.
• Design and permit distribution lines with drawings and BOM.
• Meet with external customers to discuss service requirements.
• Perform field survey and layout work.
• Inspect work to meet design standards and NEC/NESC.
