Job summary

GAI Consultants, Inc. is seeking an Associate CAD Operator for a hybrid role based in Dubois, PA. The ideal candidate has CAD experience, strong analytical thinking, and excellent communication skills.

This position is part of the Distribution group and supports field-to-drawings workflows. Responsibilities include 2-D drafting, drawing prep, BOM development, and field visits to collect data. Proficiency with AutoCAD or similar CAD software is preferred, with a collaborative team approach and

Qualifications

• Basic 2-D line work and text edits.
• Plot and create PDF drawings.
• Perform red-line edits per QA/QC procedures.
• Assist with printing and folding drawings.

Responsibilities

• Design and permit distribution lines, including drawing preparation and BOM development.
• Conduct field visits to gather information for drawings.
• Use CAD software to create overhead and underground electrical distribution designs.
• Follow local utility and construction standards.
• Learn and apply design software and work with project teams.
