Distribution Assistant

$19.00/hour **This role works 3rd shift hours**

We are seeking a full-time Distribution Assistant for our Newspaper Distribution Center in Indianapolis, IN.

We put a premium on personal integrity, teamwork, accountability, problem solving, a strong work ethic, excellent communication skills, and a winning attitude.

Responsibilities:

1. Assist with district operations.
2. Deliver newspapers to subscribers as necessary to fill in for open/down routes or redeliver missed newspapers.
3. Contact subscribers regarding their delivery service.
4. Address subscriber service issues with carriers.
5. Distribute newspapers within the distribution center if needed.
6. Assist the manager in handling paperwork and updating address database information, including route sequencing and navigation.
7. Assist in audits of single copy outlets such as racks and retailers as requested. Maintain a clean and safe working environment.

Preferred Requirements:

1. Knowledge of the newspaper industry.
2. Strong organizational skills and ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
3. Ability to work well with others and be team-oriented.
4. Current valid driver’s license, access to a vehicle, and a good driving history are required.
5. Mileage reimbursement is paid at $0.70 per mile.
