Xcel Energy in Minnesota is seeking a senior analyst leader to manage analytics staff for Distribution Planning, oversee analytics, reporting, and regulatory filings, and guide data governance across the organization.

The role focuses on leading multi-department projects, improving data integrity, and coordinating new tool integration while supporting state and federal regulatory activities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, economics, computer science, business or related field.
• Seven years of experience with data governance, data stewardship, data quality management, data management or analytics.
• Excellent written and verbal communication, project management, leadership, interpersonal, and analytic skills.

Responsibilities

• Engineering and Analytics - Manage the daily activities of the analytical support staff to meet the requirements of each functional area within Distribution Planning.
• Reporting - Manage the regulatory reporting requirements for Distribution, including regularly scheduled reports, data requests, and ad hoc data requests.
• Regulatory - Oversees Distribution Planning support of state and federal regulatory activities.
• Data Governance - Coordinate with enterprise partners on the development of a data governance strategy and oversee implementation across Distribution Planning.
