Job summary

Thomson Reuters seeks a Distinguished Engineer to lead AI threat defense across the Cyber Defense organization. You will own AI monitoring, defense strategies, and hands-on architecture within the 24/7 SOC and CIRT. The role emphasizes technical credibility, mentorship, and collaboration with Security Engineering, Architecture, and AppSec teams.

You’ll influence senior engineers, guide AI-enabled detection, and shape secure AI infrastructure while operating with high autonomy and accountability.

Qualifications

• 12+ years of progressive cybersecurity engineering experience at senior levels.
• Deep hands-on knowledge of AI-specific attack vectors and defensive architectures.
• Production experience governing AI systems, agentic infrastructure, MCP or equivalent integration patterns.

Responsibilities

• Own AI threat defense strategy and monitoring for AI-specific attack vectors.
• Build AI-augmented detection and response within the existing SOC/CIRT stack.
• Provide technical leadership across SOC Operations, CIRT, Threat Detection Engineering, and related teams.
