Job summary

Thomson Reuters is expanding its Cyber Defense with a Distinguished Engineer focused on AI threat defense. The role drives architecture, hands-on engineering, and mentorship across SOC, CIRT, and threat management to embed AI-aware security throughout the software lifecycle.

You will own AI-specific monitoring and response, define standards for securing AI infrastructure, and maintain technical credibility as a leading authority in AI security within a large enterprise.

Qualifications

• 12+ years of progressive cybersecurity engineering experience at senior levels.
• Deep hands-on knowledge of AI-specific attack vectors and defensive architectures.
• Experience delivering AI-assisted detection and response in a mature 24/7 SOC/CIRT.

Responsibilities

• Own AI threat defense strategy and monitoring for AI-specific attack vectors.
• Build AI-augmented detection content and analytics for AI threat patterns.
• Integrate AI threat detection into SIEM and SOC monitoring stack.
• Provide technical leadership without formal management authority.
