Job summary
Deer Park Refining Limited Partnership seeks an Operations Support Engineer 1 to provide technical support to Distilling Unit 1 and serve as a site-wide engineering resource. The role collaborates with Operations, Maintenance, Technical Services and other engineering disciplines to maintain safe, reliable, and compliant refinery operations.

Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or higher degree in chemical/related engineering.
- 0–5 years of process engineering experience in oil and gas or petrochemicals.
- Ability to manage competing priorities and adapt in a dynamic environment.
- Strong collaboration with Operations, Maintenance and Technical Services.
Responsibilities
- Provide technical support to Distilling Unit 1 and backfill across multiple production areas.
- Monitor process performance and troubleshoot issues to maintain safe, reliable operations.
- Support turnarounds with scope development and field execution.
- Advise operations on operating targets to meet product specs.
- Contribute to MOC process to mitigate hazards from design changes.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams on process improvements.
- Perform engineering analyses as needed and respond to unplanned operational challenges.
