Job summary

Apple in Cupertino is seeking a Manufacturing Design Engineer (MDE) for Product Displays to own the entire manufacturing process from raw material to final assembly. You will oversee NPI, select processes for fixtures and assemblies, research materials and suppliers, and enable smooth ramp to mass production for retail displays.

The role emphasizes cross-functional collaboration with design teams and global suppliers, with a focus on environmental goals and data-driven decisions.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of full-time mechanical manufacturing experience.
• 25% domestic and international travel required.

Responsibilities

• Interact with Industrial Design, Product Design, and Vendors to enable innovative display designs.
• Develop solutions that support environmental and product goals, including materials and closed-loop processes.
• Develop prototyping processes and follow through with manufacturing realization.
