Job summary

Verano is seeking a General Manager to lead the Lakeland dispensary, oversee staff, inventory purchasing and tracking, and drive sales goals and bonus targets. This role spends about 20% of time on inventory activities and is responsible for maintaining accurate records in accordance with local laws and regulations, while engaging with corporate retail to ensure consistent messaging.

Qualifications

• 2+ years experience as Assistant Store Manager or Store Manager in retail or hospitality.
• 21+ years of age.
• Proven ability to manage teams effectively.
• Flexibility to work weekends/holidays.
• Passion for serving the cannabis community.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.

Responsibilities

• Manage dispensary cashflow, staff, schedules, inventory, and customer relations.
• Serve as a role model and resource for staff on products, policies, and regulations.
• Coordinate with corporate retail team to ensure accurate info is communicated to staff.
• Drive programs by motivating the team to meet objectives.
• Plan and delegate tasks to Assistant Dispensary Manager and store team.
• Coordinate and communicate goals to staff daily and weekly.
• Lead team meetings about initiatives and upcoming changes.
• Create implementation plans for operational efficiency and results.
• Solicit feedback to understand customer and community needs.
• Provide training, coaching, and development opportunities.
• Assist upset customers with equitable solutions.
• Provide regular inventory, sales, and profitability reports to leadership.
• Maintain accurate records of all dispensary activities in compliance with laws.
• Assist in interviewing and candidate selection.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
