Job summary

Verano in Homestead, FL is seeking an Assistant General Manager to help manage all personnel, inventory purchasing and tracking, and drive sales goals. The role acts as the “manager-on-duty” in the absence of the General Manager.

This role is expected to spend 25% of time on inventory-related activities and maintain accurate records for inventory, while delivering exceptional customer experiences in a fast-paced cannabis retail environment.

Qualifications

• High school degree or GED required.
• Minimum 1 year as assistant manager or higher.
• Strong teamwork and communication with staff.
• Scheduling flexibility including weekends and holidays.
• Proven leadership of teams.
• Excellent communication and customer service.
• Must be 21 years of age.

Responsibilities

• Support dispensary staff, inventory, and patient/customer relations.
• Interact with customers and provide exceptional service.
• Respond to inquiries, feedback, and suggestions.
• Resolve in-store situations quickly and respectfully.
• Build bi-weekly staff schedules.
• Walk the floor and advise on products, regulations, and industry news.
• Coach and develop staff; address questions or suggestions.
• Delegate tasks to Cannabis Advisors to maintain compliance.
• Work with the General Manager to relay information to staff.
• Conduct interviews as directed by the GM.
• Train staff on the POS System and State Inventory System.
• Oversee orders and deliveries for accuracy and timeliness.
• Maintain company culture and atmosphere in the facility.
• Record all dispensary activity including cash, sales, vendors, and customer/patient information.
• Other duties as assigned.
