Assistant General Manager
Job Summary: We are seeking a dynamic and motivated Dispensary Assistant Manager to support the general operations of our cannabis dispensary. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in retail management, excellent customer service skills, and a passion for the cannabis industry. As the Assistant Manager, you will work closely with the General Manager to ensure the smooth day-to-day functioning of the dispensary and to provide exceptional customer experience.
Responsibilities
- Assist the General Manager in overseeing the daily operations of the dispensary, ensuring compliance with all regulations and company policies.
- Lead and manage the dispensary team in the absence of the General Manager.
- Provide training, coaching, and mentorship to staff to ensure high levels of product knowledge and customer service.
- Collaborate with the General Manager to develop and implement operational procedures and policies.
- Maintain a deep understanding of cannabis products, strains, and consumption methods to provide accurate information to customers and staff.
- Assist in inventory management, including ordering, receiving, stocking, and conducting regular audits.
- Process transactions accurately and ensure that all sales are compliant with state and local regulations.
- Handle customer inquiries, concerns, and complaints in a professional and timely manner.
- Help plan and execute marketing and promotional activities to drive sales and customer engagement.
- Assist in staff scheduling to ensure appropriate coverage during peak hours and events.
- Maintain a clean and organized dispensary environment, including displays and product presentation.
- Collaborate with vendors, suppliers, and distributors to maintain positive relationships and negotiate favorable terms.
- Uphold security protocols to ensure the safety of products, assets, and personnel.
- Keep updated with industry trends, regulations, and best practices.
- Participate in team meetings and contribute ideas for improving dispensary operations.
- Assist in financial management, including tracking expenses and monitoring sales performance.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 2 years of retail experience, with at least 1 year in a leadership or supervisory role.
- Strong knowledge of cannabis products, strains, and industry trends.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and customer service skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changes.
- Proficiency in point-of-sale systems, inventory management, and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.
- Passion for the cannabis industry and a commitment to compliance.
- Must be at least 21 years of age
