Job summary

KABS4KIDS INC is seeking an experienced Dispatcher to coordinate bus driver assignments, routes, and substitutes for all shifts. The role involves communication with drivers, parents, and school staff, and handling emergencies.

Working primarily in an office, you may drive when needed, and must pass CORI & SORI checks and hold or obtain a CDL with School Bus endorsement. Multilingual candidates are encouraged to apply.

Qualifications

• Basic computer programs are required.
• Familiarity with school locations and local roadway systems is needed.
• Ability to read, write and communicate effectively in person or by telephone is required.
• Must possess a CDL with School Bus/Passenger endorsement or have the ability to obtain one.
• Ability to collect and organize detailed information and prepare reports.
• Background check (CORI & SORI) is required.

Responsibilities

Dispatching Office Assistant

Overview

KABS4KIDS INC is a trusted, family-owned transportation company dedicated to safely and reliably transporting students to and from school. Duties

• Coordinate assignments of bus drivers, bus routes, vehicles, and substitutes for morning, mid-day and afternoon shifts.
• Assist with or coordinate extracurricular transportation.
• Dispatch drivers and vehicles and communicate with them
• Communicate with parents and school personnel
• Assist with emergency situations
• Maintain all required physical and computerized logs, worksheets, files, and reports related to dispatch operations.
• Perform bus driving duties when needed.

Requirements:

• Working knowledge of basic computer programs.
• Working knowledge of school locations and local roadway systems.
• Ability to read, write, communicate effectively in person / by telephone
• Possession of a Commercial Driver’s License with a School Bus/ Passenger endorsement or have the ability to obtain such.
• Ability to collect and organize detailed information and prepare required reports.
• Ability to pass a background check, CORI & SORI
• Must have dispatch experience .
• Multilingual preferred

• Primarily office-based with occasional travel for driving duties.
• May require working outside of regular business hours as needed.
