Job summary

Children's of Alabama is seeking a Security Dispatcher for the Main Campus Park Place South location. The role is full-time on the Night Shift (Sunday-Saturday, 10:30pm-7am) and involves disseminating information to Security Staff and necessary departments, as well as handling calls via two-way radio and telephone.

The candidate should have basic computer skills (Word/Excel), experience with multi-line phones, CCTV and access control systems, and strong verbal and written communication

Qualifications

• Basic computer knowledge: Word and Excel.
• Must be able to use a multi-line telephone and manage paging/transfer features.
• Familiar with CCTV, access control, alarm systems and two-way radio.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.

Job description

In Security at Main Campus Park Place South

Work schedule will be Full-time on the Night Shift, Sunday-Saturday (varies), 10:30pm-7am.

Summary

The Security Dispatcher is responsible for efficiently disseminating information to the Security Staff and / or necessary departments. The Communication Specialist shall promptly answer, execute and be responsible for all calls received by way of two-way radio or telephone.

Other information

• Basic computer knowledge: Microsoft Word and Excel
• Must be able to use a multi line telephone and familiarize themselves with it's various functions such as paging, transferring calls, etc.
• Will have to become familiar with the use of a CCTV system, Toye Access Control Computer, Simplex Panic Alarm system, Digital Receiver for burglar alarms and the use of a two-way radio.
• Must possess good verbal and written communication skills.

Education with Equivalent Qualifications

Essential:

• High School Diploma Graduate or Equivalent
