Job summary

UAB Medicine in Birmingham, AL is seeking security professionals for a PRN, rotating schedule at the UAB St. Vincent's East campus. The role focuses on monitoring, responding to alarms, coordinating security staff, and ensuring safety across assigned areas.

If you have a High School diploma or equivalent (or 1 year of related experience), you may qualify. Licensure can substitute education or experience. Join a large health system recognized for patient care and ongoing training.

Qualifications

• Note: Required professional licensure/certification can be used in lieu of education or experience, if applicable.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and communicate need for security services throughout assigned area(s).
• Manage and respond to calls and/or alarms and initiates immediate response.
• Coordinate and/or dispatch staff in response to requests for service. Retrieve recorded documentation as required.
• Monitor the activities of persons on the premises by way of surveillance systems and communications.
• Initiate communication with team leader/manager when additional staffing support is necessary and assist with resolution of those issues.
• May be responsible and accountable for hiring, training, supervision and performance appraisals of security shift employees.
