GFL Environmental Inc. is seeking a Dispatcher to coordinate with drivers on route problems, manage incoming service orders, and direct duties across teams to ensure timely service.

The role uses GFL proprietary software to log tickets and monitor productivity, with opportunities for growth within a company that values teamwork and sustainable solutions. You will interact with customer service, sales, and operations while supporting route optimization and on-time performance.

Qualifications

• Completion of high school. Post-secondary courses or diploma would be considered an asset.
• 1-2 years in a transportation, dispatch or customer service role.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Proficient in MS Outlook, Excel, Word.
• Required to work extended hours including occasional weekends.
• Possess TRUX experience but not mandatory; if not, able to learn TRUX system.

Responsibilities

• Schedule service and satisfy customer needs for service changes. Ensure service is completed per policies.
• Dispatch calls to routes based on designated route and driver location.
• Perform driver check-ins at day’s end to ensure complete paperwork.
• Distribute, collect and review route sheets for end-of-day data entry.
• Coordinate with other departments to resolve service issues.
