Job Title: Dispatcher Relief

We are hiring immediately for an on-call Dispatcher Relief position at Crothall Healthcare.

Location

Prisma Health Richland - 5 Richland Medical Park Drive, Columbia, SC 29203. Note: online applications accepted only.

Schedule

On-call schedule; days may vary, 7:00 am to 3:00 pm. Rotating weekends required. More details upon interview.

Requirements

• Prior dispatch experience preferred.
• Willing to train!

Pay Range

$17.50 to $24.50 per hour.

Job Summary

Summary: Coordinates and monitors Patient Transportation services through timely dispatch and management of requests.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Provides quality customer service with attention to detail.
• Applies knowledge of patient transport, infection control, and body mechanics.
• Develops dispatcher logic, manages transporter activities, and transports patients when necessary.
• Directs transport activities, monitors procedures, and follows up on issues.
• Ensures requests are addressed efficiently and timely.
• Acts as liaison between Patient Transportation and other departments.
• Manages pagers, sign-in/out procedures, and promotes positive customer relationships.
• Resolves problems and recommends solutions for recurring issues.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
