This position is located in Mesa Verde National Park, in the Visitor and Resource Protection Division, Mesa Verde National Park, CO.
Incumbent oversees interagency, regional, national or multifunctional operations related to the management of a Communications Center.

Must function efficiently in confined spaces for hours. Walking, bending, and stooping are required for equipment operation and record maintenance. The environment is demanding, requiring alertness and accuracy during emergencies. Clear and effective voice communication is essential. Occasional lifting of up to 50 pounds is required.
Typically performed in a climate-controlled office. Occasional work in classrooms or stressful situations with public or employees involved in law enforcement or safety incidents.
Mesa Verde National Park in Southwest Colorado was established in 1906 to preserve Ancestral Pueblo heritage. It protects cultural sites and offers recreational activities. The park hosts over 500,000 visitors annually and is near other public lands and towns with amenities.
Conditions include U.S. citizenship, background checks, valid driver's license, uniform compliance, possible shift work, travel, and training requirements. Specific conditions are detailed in the original description.
Must meet time-in-grade requirements if current or former Federal employees. Specialized experience at least one year comparable to GS-07, such as dispatching for emergency response. Volunteer experience and CTAP/ICTAP considerations are also relevant.
