Summary

This position is located in Big Bend National Park, in the Visitor & Resource Protection Division.

Major Duties

The incumbent performs developmental assignments under closer than normal supervision, with responsibilities including dispatching complex all-risk incidents supporting various emergency services within a multi-jurisdictional environment. The position operates typically from 0700-2200 daily, requiring shift work, including nights, weekends, and holidays.

Requirements

• U.S. Citizenship required.
• Background investigation and drug testing required.
• Valid driver's license and ability to operate government vehicles.
• Occupancy of government quarters required.
• Willingness to work on-call, shift work, and overtime.
• Minimum age 18, with educational or experience qualifications as specified.

Qualifications

At least one year of specialized experience at the GS-04 level or equivalent, or relevant education, or a combination thereof, is required for GS-05. For GS-06, at least one year of experience at the GS-05 level or equivalent is necessary.
