Job summary

United Rentals, the world’s largest equipment rental provider, is seeking a Dispatcher to organize daily equipment dispatch for the branch in a safe, timely manner. You will schedule drivers, process customer orders, and coordinate field repairs to meet customer needs.

This role requires a high school diploma, a valid driver’s license, and knowledge of DOT rules. You will work in a fast-paced environment with a focus on safety, service, and teamwork.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent is required.
• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
• Technical knowledge of DOT/Federal Motor Carrier rules and regulations.
• Diligent attention to safety and procedures.
• Strong ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
• Superior customer service, teamwork and verbal/written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Schedule drivers and organize dispatch of all equipment for the branch.
• Assist in taking customer telephone orders for deliveries, pickups and service.
• Arrange for all emergency field repairs.
• Answer customer calls and review driver schedules to fulfill requests.
• Assist Inside sales team as needed.
• Other duties as assigned.
