Job summary

Jefferson Davis Parish Sheriff's Office is seeking a Dispatcher to answer 911 and non-emergency calls, coordinate transfers, and manage radio traffic and CAD entries. The position requires adherence to department policies and professional conduct at all times.

The role operates in a 24-hour facility with shift work; overtime is eligible, and employees receive health, vision, dental, and life insurance plus pension options.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years of age at the time of application.

• A valid driver’s license.

• Input and receive information from NCIC.
• Report all unusual occurrences, accidents, or safety hazards to supervisors.
• Strictly adhere to policies safeguarding confidentiality.

Salary & Benefits

• The minimum annual salary for the position is $35,133.00
• Postsecondary education and Law enforcement or Dispatch experience will be taken under consideration in respect to the hourly rate of pay.
• Eligible for paid overtime
• Employer paid Health, Vision, Dental and Life insurance for full-time employees

• Vacation and Sick time after 1 year of continuous employment
• Eligible for additional leave when scheduled on an office holiday
