Join to apply for the Dispatcher role at Ferguson

Ferguson is currently hiring a dedicated Dispatcher to join our distribution team. If you have an interest in purchasing and logistics and a desire to learn new things, then this is the position for you!

Schedule:

Monday - Friday, 8 am - 5 pm

Pay:

$15 - $25 based on experience

Responsibilities:

1. Communicate daily with drivers regarding route progress, changes, and issues.
2. Collaborate with the sales team on issues, late deliveries, route amendments, local pickups, etc.
3. Update customers on delivery statuses.
4. Maintain truck and route files for DOT, IFTA, and company compliance.
5. Supervise and coordinate truck maintenance with local providers.
6. Keep driver personnel files updated for compliance.
7. Coordinate last-minute additional runs via our truck or courier.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma/GED.
• 2+ years of prior dispatching experience preferred.
• Experience in shipping preferred.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook.
• Experience with Descartes/Fleetwise software preferred but willing to train the right candidate.
• Well organized with strong attention to detail, integrity, and professionalism.
• Focus on improving system efficiencies and business practices.
• Problem solver with a strong sense of urgency.
