Job Purpose

The Distribution Center Dispatcher is responsible for expediting shipments to meet cutoff times for orders.

Position Details

• Reports To: Manager
• Direct Reports: No
• Status: Full-Time
• Salaried
• Division: Distribution Center

Key Job Responsibilities

• Manage shipping and receiving of merchandise, including delivery to customer locations within a 45-minute window.
• Assemble and fulfill customer orders, ensuring proper matching of invoices to shipments.
• Schedule delivery driver routes and monitor arrival and departure times according to business needs.
• Schedule contract drivers based on business needs.
• Manage tote packing, pallet building, wrapping, and tagging.
• Monitor the shipping queue and communicate concerns with the picking Team Lead/Manager.
• Use last-mile software to ensure timely deliveries.

Requirements

• High School Degree or GED
• 1 to 2 years of warehouse experience or similar discipline
• Proficient at multitasking and making sound decisions in a fast-paced environment.
• Experience with RF Scanners is preferred.

Environmental/Occupational Health and Physical Requirements

Must be capable of working in a fast-paced environment, sitting at a computer for long periods, and occasionally lifting 50 lbs or more.
