Job summary

North-America-Central-School-Bus is seeking a Dispatcher to coordinate daily routing and scheduling, dispatch buses, and serve as the main communication link between drivers, monitors, and customers.

The ideal candidate has at least 3 years in transportation, strong customer service and communication skills, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment while maintaining safety and regulatory compliance.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate daily routing and scheduling to ensure on-time service delivery.
• Dispatch buses and provide timely support and route information to drivers.
• Monitor service performance and address operational issues as they arise.
• Handle high-volume phone and radio communications.
• Support and coach drivers and monitors regarding service and operational concerns.
• Receive and resolve scheduling, service, and driver-related issues or escalations.
• Serve as a primary point of contact for customers and contracted clients.
• Assist with payroll processing, driver scheduling, licensing compliance, and hiring activities as needed.
• Identify and resolve student pick-up and drop-off concerns.
• Provide backup driving support when required.
• Complete administrative and clerical tasks related to transportation operations.
• Ensure daily operations comply with company policies, contract requirements, and all applicable federal, state, and local regulations.
• Assist management with special projects and operational initiatives.
