You will coordinate drivers, monitor routes, and handle service disruptions while maintaining clear, proactive communication with drivers and the operations team.

The ideal candidate remains calm under pressure, can juggle multiple priorities, and provides professional customer service. CDL is a plus, but not required; weekend coverage may be needed.

Position Overview
A growing transportation and logistics company is seeking a dependable and organized Dispatcher to support evening transportation operations. This role is responsible for coordinating drivers, monitoring route activity, handling service disruptions, and ensuring efficient communication across the operation. The ideal candidate is calm under pressure, highly responsive, and capable of managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities

• Coordinate and dispatch drivers for daily transportation routes


• Monitor route activity and respond to operational issues in real time


• Communicate with drivers regarding schedule changes, delays, and service updates


• Manage driver callouts and coverage needs


• Maintain accurate dispatch logs and operational records


• Assist with route planning and schedule adjustments


• Work closely with operations leadership to ensure service reliability


• Provide professional customer service when addressing transportation concerns


• Support day-to-day transportation operations as needed

Qualifications

• Previous dispatch, logistics, transportation, or operations experience preferred

Compensation & Benefits

• $30-$32/hour depending on experience


• Sunday-Thursday 4pm-12am (Saturdays Winter: 6pm-12am & Summer 10pm-1:30am)
