Dispatcher Responsibilities:
  • Oversee all routes and bus scheduling
  • Counsel and coach drivers and monitors
  • Handle heavy phone and radio traffic
  • Address scheduling and driver complaints, reporting to the Operations Supervisor/Contract Manager
  • Serve as the primary communication liaison with major contracted customers
  • Handle charter reservations, billing, or driver payroll as needed
  • Provide solutions to drop-off and pick-up issues
  • Perform back-up driver duties or miscellaneous clerical tasks
  • Complete special projects as assigned
  • Assist with supervision of daily operations
Experience and Skills Required:
  • 3-5 years of relevant experience
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Basic knowledge of radio dispatch equipment
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills
  • Ability to work under time constraints and deadlines
  • Previous experience in terminal operations, dispatch, or driving
  • Computer literacy
  • Subject to DOT drug testing and physical requirements, in accordance with 49 CFR Part 40, prohibiting Schedule I drugs, including marijuana.
