Responsibilities

• Coordinate and manage daily technician schedules, work assignments, service calls, installations, and other field activities.
• Dispatch work to technicians based on availability, location, workload, job requirements, and priorities.
• Communicate with technicians and contractors regarding assignments and delays to complete scheduled work.
• Notify customers about appointment scheduling, rescheduling, and service updates.
• Review work orders for accuracy and document all activity before and after dispatch.
• Maintain detailed records of customer interactions and scheduling changes.
• Coordinate follow-up for incomplete work and reschedule as needed.
• Collaborate with internal teams and contractors to resolve issues affecting installations and calls.
• Monitor queues and reports to identify items needing action.
• Follow dispatch procedures and escalation processes, delivering professional service.

The Dispatcher plays a critical role in supporting daily field operations by coordinating technician schedules, managing work assignments, and maintaining clear communication between customers, technicians, and internal teams. This position requires strong organization, attention to detail, and the ability to adapt quickly in a fast-paced environment while helping ensure an efficient and positive customer experience.

Requirements

• Coordinate and manage daily technician schedules, work assignments, service calls, installations, and other field activities
• Dispatch work to technicians based on availability, location, workload, job requirements, and operational priorities
• Communicate with technicians and contractors regarding assignments, schedule changes, customer concerns, access issues, delays, and other necessary information to complete scheduled work
• Communicate with customers regarding appointment scheduling, rescheduling, technician arrival expectations, delays, and other service-related updates
• Review work orders for accuracy and completeness, and ensure required information is documented before and after dispatch activity
• Maintain accurate and detailed documentation of customer interactions, technician communications, scheduling changes, work order activity, and resolution efforts in all designated systems
• Coordinate follow-up activities for work that cannot be completed as scheduled, including rescheduling and additional field work when required
• Work closely with internal departments, field teams, and contractors to resolve issues affecting customer installations, service calls, and other field activities
• Monitor assigned queues, reports, and work order statuses to identify items requiring action or follow-up
• Follow established dispatch procedures, scheduling guidelines, documentation standards, and escalation processes
• Provide professional and timely customer service while managing expectations and working toward appropriate resolution
• Perform other duties related to Dispatch operations as assigned
• Provide excellent customer service and resolve issues promptly

Required Qualifications

• Have flexibility in your schedule for work purposes - ours is 7a.m. to 7p.m., 7 days a week (holidays included). Your shift can range between the hours provided. Plenty of advance notice is given for scheduling purposes.
• Excellent customer service and problem-solving skills, active listening skills and a strong eye for details
• Strong communication skills and professional demeanor
• Ability to multitask between systems and adapt to change
• Analytical thinker with technical aptitude with the ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Solid computer skills, Microsoft platform and BroadHub experience preferred
• Self-motivated with exceptional work ethic

Preferred

• Telecom industry experience
• Previous customer service or dispatching experience
