Job Summary

Coordinates the distribution of requests for transport services to ensure the timely transportation of all patients according to established policies and procedures. Prepares schedules and establishes shift objectives for Patient Transport employees, with the manager responsible for overall schedule accuracy.

Essential Functions

• Delegates scheduled and routine tasks to patient transporters as required.
• Assists in transporting all patient populations to and from examinations and treatments as request volume requires.
• Oversees day-to-day floor operations within the Patient Transport Department, including payroll, as assigned.
• Monitors quality and coordinates educational opportunities during daily operations.
• May lead special projects as assigned by supervisors.

Qualifications

Required

• High School Diploma or equivalent

Preferred

• 6 months of relevant experience in Patient Transport
• CRT-Basic Life Support (BLS) - AHA or ARC, to be obtained upon hire
