UPMC Public Safety Dispatcher

UPMC is hiring a Public Safety Dispatcher at UPMC Hamot Hospital, scheduled for evening and night shifts.

Purpose:

Manage monitoring and communication functions for Public Safety and Facilities/Maintenance departments. Handle work order system, monitor systems and alarms, and coordinate responses to routine and emergency situations.

Responsibilities:

1. Perform clerical duties related to Operations Center activities, including preparing purchase orders, typing, filing, and answering phones.
2. Schedule outside service providers, prepare outage notices, and distribute information to relevant parties.
3. Administer access control system, manage data, and program employee access cards.
4. Monitor and respond to building alarms, including fire, security, and other emergency systems.
5. Oversee CCTV operations, report issues, and dispatch personnel as needed.
6. Receive service calls and dispatch appropriate staff, documenting all activities accurately.
7. Maintain logs for calls, dispatches, and system activities.
8. Operate work order system for maintenance requests, preventive maintenance, and reporting.
9. Distribute maintenance and construction notices to departments and contractors.
