AFC Transport, Inc. is seeking a Driver Success Manager in Tampa, FL to be the go-to contact for a group of independent-contractor driver partners, from their first dispatch onward.

You will report to the Director of Driver Success & Retention and ensure drivers receive a same-day callback with real answers to stay. This role is in-office at our Tampa HQ, offering growth opportunities within a family-owned, driver-focused company.

The role

You’ll be the go-to contact for a group of AFC's independent-contractor driver partners, from their first dispatch onward. You’ll report to the Director of Driver Success & Retention. Success means every driver gets a same-day callback, a real answer, and a reason to stay.

What You'll Do

• Own the relationship with your driver portfolio and return every call the same business day
• Run documented 30/60/90-day check-ins with new drivers
• Take driver concerns from the first call to resolution and keep drivers updated
• Coordinate home-time requests with Dispatch
• Explain settlement status and route disputes to the right specialist
• Spot at-risk drivers early and lead retention conversations

What You Bring

• 2+ years in a driver-facing, customer success, or account management role
• Calm, clear phone skills, including difficult conversations
• Follow-through that closes every loop
• Comfort working across multiple systems and keeping accurate notes

Nice to have

• Experience with independent-contractor (1099) driver programs
• McLeod, Samsara, or similar TMS/telematics tools
• Working knowledge of settlements or HOS
