We are currently seeking an experienced Permanent Dispatcher to join our dynamic team. This role is crucial to maintaining the smooth operation of our logistics and transportation services. As a Permanent Dispatcher, you will be the primary point of contact between drivers and customers. You will be responsible for assigning routes, tracking deliveries, and resolving any issues that may arise during the transportation process. This role requires an individual who is detail-oriented, has excellent communication and organizational skills, and is able to handle high-stress situations.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and dispatch drivers for pickups and deliveries, ensuring optimal utilization of resources and adherence to schedules.
• Communicate effectively with drivers and clients, providing timely updates on delivery status and addressing any concerns promptly.
• Monitor and track deliveries, using our advanced tracking systems to ensure timely deliveries and prevent delays.
• Prepare and issue necessary paperwork related to deliveries, including Bill of Ladings, invoices, and other required documentation.
• Handle emergency situations or complications that arise during transportation, providing immediate solutions and coordinating with relevant departments.
• Analyze and report on delivery performance, identifying areas for improvement and implementing changes where necessary.
• Maintain a comprehensive understanding of all routes, delivery areas, and driver capabilities to ensure efficient dispatching.
  
  

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2+ years of experience in a similar role, preferably within the logistics or transportation industry.
• Proficient in handling Bill of Ladings and other related documentation.
• Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to handle high-stress situations calmly and effectively.
• Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to think quickly and provide effective solutions in emergency situations.
• Proficient in using GPS and other tracking systems.
• Excellent organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously and meet strict deadlines.
• High school diploma or equivalent required. A degree in logistics, business administration, or a related field is a plus.
• Familiarity with industry regulations and safety standards.
• Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
