Job description

Our Night Dispatchers earn $21.35 per hour, with the current schedule being Sunday - Thursday, 7:30 PM to approximately 4:30 AM*.

Main Responsibilities of the Job

• Coordinate driver activities and shuttle assignments to resolve service issues, minimize overtime, downtime, and violations. Complete attendance trackers and verify proper use of Omnitracs by drivers.
• Ensure customer needs are met promptly and professionally; escalate issues like late dispatch or breakdowns to managers and sales. Reassign routes as needed and verify drivers log in and use Proof of Delivery scanners.
• Coordinate trailer, tractor, and backhaul assignments for efficient logistics.
• Visually inspect drivers for proper uniform and PPE compliance.
• Notify management and safety personnel in case of vehicle accidents or driver injuries.

Qualifications

• Minimum one year of transportation or logistics experience
• Effective verbal and written communication skills
• Excellent customer service and telephone skills
• Strong math, analytical, and organizational skills with high attention to detail
• Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Word, Excel, Access, and Outlook
• Problem-solving and critical thinking skills
• Strong teamwork abilities
• High school diploma or GED
• Prior dispatcher experience preferred
• Knowledge of DOT Hours of Service Regulations and driver logs preferred
• Knowledge of the delivery area preferred

Compensation varies based on experience, skills, location, and other factors as lawfully applicable.

The base pay range is approximately $17.81 to $29.76 per hour, with overtime as applicable.
