Job summary

Coastal Waste & Recycling Inc. is seeking a Dispatcher to coordinate routes, communicate with field teams, and support safe, efficient service across daily operations.

You will monitor routes, respond to changing priorities, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to keep our services on schedule. The role requires strong communication, organizational skills, and the ability to solve problems quickly in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Excellent communication and organization are required.
• Ability to stay calm and make quick decisions in a fast-paced setting.
• Strong problem-solving and multitasking abilities.
• Customer service mindset and cross-department collaboration.
• Experience with dispatch software, GPS systems, or transportation tech is a plus.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
• Bilingual English/Spanish or English/Creole preferred.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate daily routes and communicate with Drivers and Operations.
• Monitor route progress and adjust schedules as needs change.
• Work with Operations, Customer Experience, and Maintenance to resolve issues.
• Communicate route changes, delays, and requests to field teams.
• Monitor vehicle locations using dispatch systems and records.
• Maintain dispatch records and documentation.
• Balance safety, customer service, and efficiency under pressure.
• Build strong relationships with Drivers and cross-functional teams.
• Support special projects and other initiatives.

Do you thrive in a fast-paced environment where every decision makes an impact? As a Dispatcher at Coastal Waste & Recycling, you’ll play a critical role in keeping our operations running safely, efficiently, and on schedule.

Working closely with Drivers, Collection Specialists, Operations, Customer Experience, and Maintenance, you’ll coordinate daily activities, solve challenges in real time, and help ensure exceptional service for our customers.

Your Role

As a Dispatcher, you’ll coordinate routes, communicate with field teams, and partner with Operations to support safe, efficient service throughout the day. You’ll monitor daily activity, respond to changing priorities, and work collaboratively across departments to help keep our operations moving.

What You’ll Do

• Coordinate daily routes and communicate with Drivers and Operations throughout the day.
• Monitor route progress and adjust schedules as operational needs change.
• Partner with Operations, Customer Experience, and Maintenance to resolve service issues and support efficient operations.
• Communicate route changes, delays, customer requests, and operational updates to field teams.
• Monitor vehicle locations and operational activity using company technology and dispatch systems.
• Maintain accurate dispatch records and documentation.
• Respond quickly to changing priorities while balancing safety, customer service, and operational efficiency.
• Build positive working relationships with Drivers, supervisors, and cross-functional teams.
• Support special projects and other operational initiatives as assigned.
